The Precyse Base Station is the iLocate solution’s wireless routing unit. The Base Station supports N3 wireless protocol, providing 2-way communication with Smart Agents and Beacon Cells.
It is a robust infrastructure device, built to operate under extreme environmental condition, supporting tens of thousands of Smart Agents. The Base Station is available for indoor or outdoor operations, with custom models optimized for vehicle mounting, airborne operability or standard wall-mount.

To further increase reliability, the Base Station supports multi-frequency mode, hopping between radio frequencies to cope with unexpected radio interference. Each unit holds a message buffer of up to 200 Smart Agent events to ensure that network problems do not cause information loss. iLocate™ Solutions support a multiple Base Station configuration with overlapping coverage for redundancy purposes. This is easy to achieve as base stations are synchronized together over the N3 asset network.

The Base Station is a low maintenance, stand-alone device functioning over TCPIP networks – such as Ethernet, wireless LAN or cellular bridged. Utilizing the ISM license-free frequency bands, the Base Station has an effective wireless range of up to 1 mile. It is configurable over the network and includes four RF channels and an optional GPS.
