iLocate C4i for Battlefield Command & Control

The iLocate™ Defense Solution offers an advanced approach for battlefield command & control automation.
A combination of base stations, beacons and active soldier Smart Agent devices enables, for the first time, commanders to:

  • Identify a single soldier’s sector location in real time: on foot, in combat vehicles or aboard airborne platforms.
  • Send & receive data directly from soldier carried sensors in an automated way – eliminating human errors and reporting delays.
  • Give soldiers a rudimentary personal radio device equipped with a panic button and over one year battery life.
  • Deliver air-deployed ammunitions and critical supplies to the fighting forces’ real time visibility map.

Due to the Precyse patented bi-directional wireless communication and the advanced Smart Agent device operating software, iLocate delivers a set of unique features and capabilities such as cost advantage, the only ‘battlefield-standard’ secured wireless communications, location accuracy and reliability. Next generation Smart Agents will incorporate low-power GPS technology, adding accurate geographical location without compromising battery life, while maintaining the low-cost price required for single soldier tracking.

Operational Requirements The nature of the battlefield places a number of strict limitations on any location and management solution. The carried device must be light weight and durable. There cannot be any communication signals at unwanted times to prevent enemy detecting, a key issue that standard RFID solutions have not been able to solve. In addition, unlike GPS systems, the battery life must ensure smooth operation over months and years, not days, without the need to change or recharge.

The Precyse solution is based on Smart Agent devices, which are small, light weight and durable. It is a secure solution offering multi-layer encrypted communication using DoD approved AES-128 encryption standard with time stamped interchangeable keys. Unlike standard RFID tags, the Smart Agent can be intelligently programmed to communicate only upon request, for a random and short period of time (less than 0.005 second). The Smart Agent device battery life is two to five years depending on the application, and it can accurately locate an asset to within 3 feet.

Border Security – HLS

Economic growth and prosperity is tightly linked to the free flow of people and goods across state and national borders. Every day tens of thousands of vehicles, containers, cars and people move across borders by land, sea or air. Border passage is one of Homeland Security’s key vulnerability points, due to the enormous volume of human and vehicle traffic crossing the international border every day.
This situation can be alleviated with a solution that automatically lets pre-vetted friendly traffic cross faster, leaving non-validated traffic lines for HLS personnel to manually process and double check.
The goal is to streamline traffic while increasing screening quality and security - with the Precyse solution, you can do exactly this.

By issuing a Smart Agent device to frequently passing, pre-vetted trucks, cars, containers or any other border-crossing entity, HLS personnel can identify the vehicle as it approaches the border crossing from a far, automatically screen and approve it for fast-lane passage. To increase security, each Smart Agent is equipped with a pin-code interface, creating a personal verification code for individuals and cargo. By utilizing a DoD approved encryption, Precyse guarantees the privacy of the communication.

Defense Logistics

Military organizations, just like commercial enterprises, are coping with complex logistical operations. Large amount of equipment, ammunition and vehicles need to be procured, stored and maintained as well as transported around the world on a regular basis.
