The EQ Smart Tag was designed as a modular wireless sensing, tracking and communications platform to address varying customer needs over a single network architecture. Offered in a variety of enclosures to address vehicle, equipment, and inventory tracking needs, the EQ tag can house multiple sensors, operate over three alternative ISM frequency bands, and includes optional user interfaces such as LED indicators, buzzers, call buttons, LCD displays, and numeric keypads.
The Precyse Assisted GPS (AGPS) solution is included in some of the location-based EQ tag varieties, providing accurate location services in large outdoor settings, helping customers to dramatically reduce infrastructure investments. Moving into an indoor environment with little or poor GPS coverage, the EQ Smart Tag automatically switches to the Precyse beacon-based location architecture, providing seamless traceability and continuous tracking both indoors and outdoors.
The EQ Smart Tags support the Precyse N3 secure 2-way communication protocol, built on top of the 802.15.4 physical network layer standard.
